Tis' the Season
We have been busy with the Christmas chaos getting everything just as it should be for the special day. Christmas Eve we had our Family Home Evening. Chris told the kids the nativity story and let them put all the nativity people where they belonged. Eli loves to listen to stories and soaked it all in while Tristan was too busy playing with the statues. He is a typical 2 year old boy! IT was finally time to bake cookies for Santa. Eli wanted to make M&M cookies so there was no arguing with that. The kids love to help in the kitchen. They fight over who gets to pour what into the mixer. Tristan practically yells at me to stop the kitchen aid when he thinks it is the perfect consistency so he can stick his little fingers in there to test it out. I don't think Santa objects to germs...so we set out the cookies on a plate and a large cup of milk. The kids went to bed fairly easily. Maybe it was because I told them Santa wouldn't come until everyone was sleeping. After we were sure they were asleep is when we began playing Santa's little helpers. Well, if you can consider me (little), more like a fat jolly helper. Ho, ho. ho.
